Sony a7R III
The a7R III doesn't offer increased resolution when compared with its predecessor, but that doesn't mean it's not a serious upgrade. It takes a sensor that's already proven to deliver excellent performance and ekes a bit more dyanmic range out of it, while other upgrades are more palpable.
Pros:
- Proven 42MP full-frame sensor
- Improved processor and autofocus system
- 10fps image capture with tracking
- Silent shooting option
- Tilting touch LCD
- Dual card slots
- Larger battery than a7R II
Cons:
- Only one card slot supports UHS-II speeds
- No built-in flash
- Can't start video until image buffer is cleared
- Dense menu system

Sony a7R Mk III review: The strongest case yet for ditching your DSLR
A great camera with a few flaws that has really taken it up to the big boys in the top end full-frame DSLR market. Has every right to be considered a major contender by anybody looking to move into high end hardware. Will convert some pro photographers to mirrorless full-frame but I suspect not all.
Pros:
- Image quality
- image quality
- image quality – fabulous
- Flexibility – will suit wedding
- events
- street and landscape photographers in particular
- Impressive autofocus performance
- Much improved battery life
- A market leader in full-frame
- interchangeable lens
- mirrorless cameras
- Great viewfinder –...
Cons:
- Too complicated – the menus
- in particular
- are very difficult to work out
- Very expensive – and as such asks a big question
- Very slow in clearing image buffer
- The grip could be a little wider (particularly if hefting a large telephoto lens around
- UHS-II cards supported in only one of the two SD...

Game Changing Dynamic Range And Resolution
I'm reviewing the a7R III from the perspective of a bird and wildlife shooter. I do lots of shooting of moving animals at predawn and after sunset, so dynamic range is a huge plus. Since I'm shooting feathers and fur, resolution is a high priority.

Sony A7R III Review
The Sony A7R III is the company's latest professional 35mm full-frame compact system camera. It features the same back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor as its predecessor, the A7R II, with a resolution of 42.4 megapixels and no optical low pass filter, but offers a long list of significant...

Amazing Camera
I upgraded from the A7Rii and wasn't sure it would be worth it at first. I'm really glad I did!!! First, the auto focus on this camera is so fast. Finally there is a high quality full frame mirrorless camera that can focus like a top end DSLR. Second, they improved the battery!!!

Sony Alpha A7R III review: quite simply one of the best cameras in the world
We don't give five stars out very often, but the A7R III deserves them: Sony's mirrorless monster is an absolutely superb camera and one of the very best you can buy, mirrorless or otherwise. The niggles are few and far between: it takes the already excellent A7R II and makes it even better.
Pros:
- 42.2MP at 10fps
- 5-axis IS system
- Fast autofocus
Cons:
- Battery could be better

Camera is amazing! B&H shipping packaging horrible!
When you save up for over a year for a camera, and then drop over 10k on switching systems, you'd think your camera would be packaged better than a GM 24-70, a Batis 85mm 1.8, some filters, a battery grip, and an Alpha a7rIII bouncing around in a box that is partially open from not enough packing...

Sony A7R III Review
The Sony Alpha 7R III is Sony's latest high-resolution, full-frame mirrorless camera. It offers impressive all-round specifications, with a 42.4MP sensor, 10fps continuous shooting, a hybrid AF system that employs 399 phase-detection points covering approximately 68% of the frame, and 4K video...
Pros:
- Phenomenal image quality in almost any situation
- Extremely fast and responsive
- Compact
- lightweight design with well-placed controls
- Superb electronic viewfinder
- In-body image stabilisation gives sharper images with any lens
Cons:
- AF area is invisible when moved using the joystick
- Rear screen only tilts up or down
- Handgrip too close to the lens for shooting with gloves
