Game Changing Dynamic Range And Resolution
I'm reviewing the a7R III from the perspective of a bird and wildlife shooter. I do lots of shooting of moving animals at predawn and after sunset, so dynamic range is a huge plus. Since I'm shooting feathers and fur, resolution is a high priority.

Sony A7R III Review
The Sony A7R III is the company's latest professional 35mm full-frame compact system camera. It features the same back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor as its predecessor, the A7R II, with a resolution of 42.4 megapixels and no optical low pass filter, but offers a long list of significant...

Amazing Camera
I upgraded from the A7Rii and wasn't sure it would be worth it at first. I'm really glad I did!!! First, the auto focus on this camera is so fast. Finally there is a high quality full frame mirrorless camera that can focus like a top end DSLR. Second, they improved the battery!!!

Sony Alpha A7R III review: quite simply one of the best cameras in the world
We don't give five stars out very often, but the A7R III deserves them: Sony's mirrorless monster is an absolutely superb camera and one of the very best you can buy, mirrorless or otherwise. The niggles are few and far between: it takes the already excellent A7R II and makes it even better.
Pros:
- 42.2MP at 10fps
- 5-axis IS system
- Fast autofocus
Cons:
- Battery could be better

Camera is amazing! B&H shipping packaging horrible!
When you save up for over a year for a camera, and then drop over 10k on switching systems, you'd think your camera would be packaged better than a GM 24-70, a Batis 85mm 1.8, some filters, a battery grip, and an Alpha a7rIII bouncing around in a box that is partially open from not enough packing...

Sony A7R III Review

Pros:
- Phenomenal image quality in almost any situation
- Extremely fast and responsive
- Compact
- lightweight design with well-placed controls
- Superb electronic viewfinder
- In-body image stabilisation gives sharper images with any lens
Cons:
- AF area is invisible when moved using the joystick

Sony A7R III review: Giving the Nikon D850 a run for its money
In terms of all-round competence, the Sony A7R III goes head-to-head with the Nikon D850 as the best full-frame camera money can buy. Indeed, the Pocket-lint team, alongside a panel of judges and the public voted it the best camera of 2018 in the Pocket-lint Gadget Awards.
Pros:
- Sharp images with plenty of detail and exceptional dynamic range
- Much improved new battery with 650-single-shot-life
- Lovely electronic viewfinder
- Very respectable high-speed performance
- Customisable 'My Menu' for direct access to most used controls
Cons:
- Still takes a while to work your way around the camera
- LCD touchscreen lacks some functionality
- Some buttons/dials are not the easiest to control
- Still uncomfortable to hold with larger lenses

A Fantastic Full-Frame Camera
I found the Sony A7Riii the best mirrorless full frame camera on the market today. I did extensive research on the Nikon and Canon offerings in this class and they both fell short of the Sony. The 42mb sensor is amazing - if you need that kind of resolution.
Pros:
- Compact and light body while feeling sturdy and substantial in the hands
Cons:
- Convoluted menu system
- no intervalometer
- lenses are more expenses than Sony's competitors
