Skagen Announces Feature-Packed Falster 2 Smartwatch
BERLIN—The first Skagen Falster ($189.99 at Amazon) smartwatch was a slim and attractive wearable with a full touch screen, but we felt it was too expensive, especially since it lacked many features sported by its competitors.
Skagen seeks to correct that with the Falster 2, announced here at IFA. The second-generation Falster smartwatch has a similar minimalist design as its predecessor, with a sleek metal body, a variety of slim watch straps (including a magnetic steel mesh one), and a circular touch screen. Changes include revamped minimalist dials that should help save battery life, and a pair of programmable pusher buttons that can be enabled to add functionality to various apps.
Taking a peek under the hood shows more than just a pretty face. To bolster the paucity of features on the Falster, Skagen has packed it with everything you expect from a high-end smartwatch.
