Needed to replace our 25 year old Simpson dryer with a new one and kept with the Simpson brand. Instructions on the front panel are more complex and the instruction book is not very helpful, but a google search helped. Working well now we have our head around it. Included wall mounting brackets and template are great. Easy to clean lint filter.

Winter is falling on the ACT and we are hesitant to use the steps to our Hills Hoist when they are ice covered. We have never owned a dryer before and we are surprised at the ease of use of the Simpson 5.5 kg model. It works well and, to our surprise, appears to be no way less efficient than natural sunshine and wind. There is one adverse comment to make :- the instruction booklet is too small for older people to read and we had to enlarge each page to A4 size. Suggest this should be the minimum size for all instruction manuals.

I find it a bit useless to write a review within a month of purchase but nonetheless Upgraded from an aldi dryer which died after two years of good service. I am very happy with the dryer but too early to tell whether it will last long term. It definitely did a better job than the aldi. The lint filter system was much better too. Con: It didn’t come with anything else apart from the wall mounts. Really need to be able to vent the hot air. Would give a higher rating but it’s too early to tell

Bought it because had various functions. However, the cupboard and iron functions do not completely dry the clothes, especially collars, jeans and thick socks. Have to put clothes back in for more drying time. There is no timer on any cycles to indicate how long is left. Iron function is useless as shirts come out all crinkled. Overall best to buy basic dryer without useless functions. Also, when mount dryer upside down, writing is hard to read.

Purchased this as it was supposedly a leap in dryer technology, was going to get the base model I had once before. I set the timer to say 30 minutes & check it 45 mins later. It is still going & timer still say's 30 mins. It should get a minus star rating as I bet heaps of people just push the button again once it actually stops going, as the timer will still say what ever you set it to.
