Very good but not great

I liked this one a great deal, though not as much as the Santal Majuscule. It is different in a very pleasant way and certainly one I'm glad to have.

Delicious smell

Used it in a tropical country during the evening and it smells great. Especially when it reminds people of gingerbread and the train is full of hungry office workers rushing back home from work. Heads turn the moment I walked in/out of the train- with a pleasant face and not disgusted looks.

Clean & Fresh; Great Smell; Not Overpowering; Sensual

Doesn't Hold; Too Expensive; Too Weak

17 o'clock kick-off

I did not reach for the teacup at 5 p.m. sharp, but for the remote control to watch the "world champion" play. Teatime is football time right now, which pleases me very much. As lively as the scent, the Mexicans also played - fresh like bergamot and spirited like pepper.

"Cinnamon and Nutmeg are more suited to cookies..."

I recently received two Serge Lutens perfume samples, from Glossybox if I recall rightly. The first one I tried was L'Eau which is a very simple scent yet absolutely gorgeous and I think I fell in love with it just a little bit, so I was really looking forward to trying the other Serge Lutens scent...

good staying power; might be nice at Christmas

too spicy for me; think it would be better suited to a candle or air freshener than a perfume

Serge Lutens Five O'Clock Au Gingembre : Fragrance Review

Although many Serge Lutens fragrances are based on a similar oriental accord of balsamic amber, violet and pale woods, I cannot resist yet another new interpretation of Lutens' trademark exoticism.
