Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphone review

New design, more features, and the same signature sound

Improved ANC, Smaller, sleeker design, Now with wireless charging

No multipoint (yet), Occasional bugs, Transparency mode lags competition

No power button? And they don't turn themselves off... Sound great of course

Great sound. Slightly sticky pads, but I would expect that to fade quickly. BUT, there's literally no power button that I can find. And it stays connected to my device, so it drains the battery over a day or so. Even when absolutely not using them. Who thought that no power button was a good idea? Seriously. Cannot recommend because it will just keep draining the battery over and over.

Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 Headphones Black - BRAND NEW review

There’s a lot to love about the Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless; they sound fantastic, look good, and are easily customizable thanks to an app. However, they’re let down by a measly 17-hour battery life and their high price.

Brilliant audio quality, Cool design, Customizable settings

Battery life isn’t great, More expensive than rivals

Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 Headphones Black - BRAND NEW review

Let me get this out of the way; I'm not an audiophile. Granted, I really love good audio. I do have a pretty good ear and I really enjoy music. However, I don't believe that there are a lot of objective ways to test headphones.

High quality construction, Great, balanced audio, Excellent fit and finish, Elegant looks and feel, Super comfortable, Works well with Android devices, Multi-modes of noise cancellation (Max, Anti Wind, Anti Pressure), Equalizer through app saves to headphones (not just through software), Tile...

Noise cancellation modes require use of app (can’t be switched directly through hardware)

Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 Headphones Black - BRAND NEW review

Sennheiser just released their new Momentum headphones, which are wireless and noise cancelling. I absolutely loved the Momentum 2 headphones! I was super excited to give these a listen to see how they improved. So are these worth an upgrade from the Momentum 2, and how do they sound?

Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphone review

How does the third iteration of the Sennheiser Momentum earbuds stack up?

Incredibly light, comfortable fit, sound fantastic with solid bass.

Battery life could be bigger, adaptive noise cancellation is inconsistent, need to set up a Sennheiser account to access app features.

Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphone review

The third-generation of Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless earbuds are an upgrade in almost all areas. They are some of the best-sounding Bluetooth earbuds you can get, have good noise cancelling, great controls, good battery life and support for the latest aptX Adaptive audio format.

Pros: top sound, effective noise cancelling, good ambient sound mode, long battery life, very comfortable, optional wings for keeping them in place, aptX Adaptive support, full equaliser, pocketable case, cross-platform app.

Cons: expensive, waiting on updates for multi-point and sound customisation, case bigger than some of the best, calls can sound a bit robotic.

Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphone review

The Momentum TW 3 are some of the best sounding wireless earbuds that I've tested — and, to be honest, there's not a lot to complain about. The sound quality and noise-cancellation are both top notch.

Super sound quality, Excellent new design and fit, Feature packed, Super sound quality, Excellent new design and fit, Feature packed

Still pretty expensive, Still pretty expensive

Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphone review

Earbud manufacturers typically try to compete with their larger competitors by delivering unique features or a lower price point. Sennheiser, on the other hand, has taken a more head-on approach against its main competition with the MOMENTUM True Wireless 3. The results are decidedly mixed.

Good sound quality, Qi wireless charging case, Solid battery life, Strong Bluetooth signal, IPX4 splash resistance

High price, Noise cancellation is mediocre, Touch controls are overly sensitive, No automatic ear detection
