Sennheiser HD650 Headphones
These have been good for me. My wife is often annoyed by the sound of TV or music that I enjoy. The HD650 was for me to make sure that she was insulated from what I usually listen to. The headphones are now on their way to Sennheiser in Old Lyme CT for repair.

Just the start...
The desire to maintain domestic tranquility motivated me to start listening to music through headphones more often. My 30+ year old AKG K240s have served me well but I thought it might be time to audition something new.
Pros:
- Quality product, great sound
- I found the 650s to be comfortable over several hours of listening
Cons:
- Now I think I'm going to have to upgrade my CD player...and then a new integrated amp to take full advantage of the 650s

Sennheiser HD 650
Pure, natural sound. Reviewers describe music on the Sennheiser HD 650 headphones as smooth, natural and open. Bass is a particular strength, though some experts say that definition isn't the best, meaning that some sonic details occasionally get lost.
Pros:
- Excellent sound quality
- Comfortable
- Good bass
Cons:
- Bulky
- Expensive
- Sound leakage

Extremely happy
Was very happy with these headphones and the service from DWI. Firstly, headphones supplied are totally genuine Sennheisers which was a relief and were delivered quickly. Extremely happy with the HD650s particularly their bass response.

The best value for money open headphones
These are not cheap headphones. They are reasonably expensive but you will more than get what you pay for.
Pros:
- Amazing sound
- all day comfort
- value for money
- cord length
Cons:
- Makes your other headphones sound bad
- need an amp to get the most out of them

Wow.
I got these on craigslist lightly used (I think he said like 40 hours of use or less) in the original package and original everything and in perfect condition for $250. Half off is a blast. If I didn't get this good of a deal I would have got the HD 598s.
Pros:
- These are 300 ohm headphones so you need a headphone amplifier that is a given
- Luckily, my MSI Gaming 6 has 2 headphone amplifiers built in and can handle 500 ohm headphones
- I had the Oppo PM3 planar magnetic headphones before this.
Cons:
- These do feel a little fragile, so for $500, they should maybe have a little higher build quality, but I doubt I'll break them
- Maybe that is why these are so awesomely light weight
- Just be careful

As with most higher end speakers/headphones, these need some break-in time. My initial impression was that I may have made a mistake buying these. I stopped listening to them and ran them with white noise for about 100 hours. (4 Days straight). Wow what a difference!
