The rise of SSD & NAND flash and it's eventually affordability has brought the price of traditional mechanical HDD's down considerably. A few years ago 4TB in an external USB 3.0 drive was a pretty penny, this Seagate is not only great quality it's a great deal. I'm using mine with my PlayStation 4.

This is my second Seagate external drive. I also have a 2TB that has performed flawlessly over nearly two years of heavy use. It's been an outstanding product, so when I needed more storage, it was a no-brainer to purchase anothe Seagate.

the manufacturer does NOT tell you this but this unit does NOT work with Windows 10. I made this mistake not knowing. They will NOT refund or replace your unit. You are stuck with it. I have a memo in writing after the fact. I do not recommend you buy this unit if you have Windows 10
