This is a great drive, just like the many other Seagate drives I've purchased. It is a bit larger than the 1 and 2 TB drives, but works great. I use it to back up my computer and external drives. Then I move this drive off-site for a month. Every 30 days I back everything up with it.

The only hard drive I have used is my dad's but this one just surprised me how easy it is to use. It's pocket size so you can basically put it anywhere.

I have a lifetime's worth of music and films saved on my pc and I have 2 backup copies of everything. These small, portable hard drives are ideal for this. 4TB is quite a large capacity, and a few negative reviews mentioned performance issues, so I took out an ￡8 insurance policy just in case.

The new small portable 2TB HD that can be powered by only an USB are definitely better than this in terms of saving space, weight, and an outlet slot. After backing up almost 4TB of data on this drive only to have it make the data inaccessible I would not recommend this drive as after I immediately...

Staples' employee was an Angel, easy to woek with, got me the BEST PRICE. The product was delivered in a timely fashion. I have several other Seagate hard drives - which is why I continue to back up on a regular basis - as usually there is NO warning when a hard drive fails which does happen.

The rise of SSD & NAND flash and it's eventually affordability has brought the price of traditional mechanical HDD's down considerably. A few years ago 4TB in an external USB 3.0 drive was a pretty penny, this Seagate is not only great quality it's a great deal. I'm using mine with my PlayStation 4.

Do not buy this hard drive thinking it is powered by the USB cable as it states in the specification. It comes with a mains adapter and cable and will not work unless it is plugged into the mains.

Love the small physical size of the portable drive. Great price for 4tb of space.

I got this for use with my Xbox One as 500Gb runs out quite quickly connected without any issues and has so for not let me down in the few months I've had it.

I took a punt on this Seagate hard drive and was pleasantly surprised, I was looking for something to bolster the capacity of the Xbox One 500GB and said I'd try this, works a treat, capacity increased in a few short simple steps, far better value than paying extra for a 1TB device .
