Fast and good value
Manufacturer: SanDisk
This is a physically small USB drive - easily lost without a lanyard. Build quality is excellent, with a good-looking all-metal casing (which runs warm to the touch). I can confirm a real-world read speed of 150MB/sec - via a USB3 port to a SSD drive. Write speeds are much slower - typically 15 to 30MB/sec. Recommended. I bought two of them.
I use it as external storage on for my Raspberry Pi 3B, the slim form allows all the ports to be populated simultaneously without issue.
Back in the day I would carry around a few floppy's and a whole heap of rescue CD's and DVD's Today I carry this around with A bit of open source software I can do all and more with this one than I did in the past... and to boot I can download the iso's on the phone and transfer them direct to the USB stick so I don't even need the laptop now. Disclaimer your mileage may vary and you will need to know what you are doing. When I am not using it in that mode I often change the file system to ext4 or exfat so I can work around the 4gb barrier. Pros can carry a lot of data around yes there is bigger solutions too Cons the original fat16~fat3...view more
USB A for regular computers USB C for phones and other! winning combination
Small, light and has USB-A and C support. Big enough to hold a reasonable amount of stuff too. Awesome unit and a great PBTech price.
