This is by far the best and more accurate smartwatch to track swimming laps. Compared against Samsung Gear Fit, Fit 2 Pro and Fitbit Versa.

I love this watch for the functionality and size because I have small wrists. I love that it is waterproof. I am so disappointed that it cannot take calls! What a bummer. I returned the Fitbit watch for a similar reason. I answer and then run to find my phone. What a disappointment. :(

The announcement of the Samsung Gear Sport a few months ago came as a bit of a surprise, because it wasn't exactly the idea of an upgrade for the Gear S3 smartwatch that most people had in their minds.

An everyday watch that looks and is smart. Works well in conjunction with gear app for iOS.

The watch has taken some getting used to as it is my first smart watch. It does everything I could ask (ad more). I have not been able to pair the Samsung Pay with my institutions cards so I cannot speak for that feature. Battery life tends to last around 2-3 days without the "always on feature".

If you're looking for a smartwatch to go with your Android device that also happens to be a great fitness and activity tracker, the Samsung Gear Sport is a very compelling device to consider.

In the smartwatch world, the Gear Sport is more of a reliable squad player rather than a star striker. It doesn’t have the apps of Android Wear, the fitness depth of the Garmin Forerunner series or the battery life of a Fitbit Ionic. On the other hand, its interface is one of the best you’ll find on any smartwatch and being an all-rounder never did the Apple Watch any harm. As long as you’re okay with getting a selection box of fitness and smartwatch elements, then it might well be wrist-puter for you. Still, if you’re not likely to go swimming, then we’d still recommend plumping for the Gear S3 Classic, which you can pick up for the same price.
