Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB Silver SM-F926BZSDXNZ review

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the best foldable mobile from the South Koreans to date. But are you absolutely sure that a foldable mobile is something you want?

Best foldable mobile from Samsung so far. More robust than its predecessor, now being waterproof down to 1.5 meters. Also supports S-Pen. Comes with configuration from top shelf.

Very, very expensive. You could also have expected more from the camera, especially for the price. Poorer battery life than its predecessor. And are foldable mobiles something consumers want at all? We have come to doubt.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB Silver SM-F926BZSDXNZ review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the best foldable phone/tablet ever made and offers a range of features that will help you do more than ever before. It’s priced far beyond what most are willing to pay though, and a few of the apps need work yet.

The tablet/phone hybrid we’ve been dreaming of, Multitasking app support is fantastic, Feels like a more polished product overall, 120Hz on every screen

Some apps are buggy in Flex mode, Under display camera isn’t great

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Green) AU - Pristine review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the first foldable phone that we recommend to people who would normally call themselves ‘early adopters’, yet held off on buying last year’s Z Fold 2 for good reason. Those fence-sitters will be swayed by the new Z Fold 3’s S Pen support, greater durability and water-resistance in an otherwise familiar-looking foldable design with unchanged cameras. It’s still mighty expensive, and therefore not for the average consumer, but it starts at a slightly lower price than its predecessors, making it ideal for those who've been looking to buy into the form factor but have been waiting on the sidelines.

S Pen support – finally; More durable design; Slightly cheaper than Fold 2;

Still very expensive; Cameras could be better; No front-screen S pen support

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB Silver SM-F926BZSDXNZ review

The Z Fold 3 is water-resistant, more durable, $500 more affordable than its predecessor, has two good 120Hz refresh rate displays, a top-of-the-line processor, 12GB of RAM, and a user interface that is near perfect.

Waterproof and more durable, The UI works so well with the larger device, Screen feels so much better

Still too expensive, The cameras aren’t to par with the price you’re paying, especially the UDC, Still too large, awkward and gimmicky for most

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB Silver SM-F926BZSDXNZ review

When the first Galaxy Fold was launched two years back, critics shared a lot of apprehensions about an untested design, fragile display, the ugly-looking selfie camera notch and a collective opinion was presented that foldable phones are not market-ready.

Innovative design, Unmatched performance and multitasking, Good cameras

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB Silver SM-F926BZSDXNZ review

Well, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is here and it brings a few upgrades to the formula that made the Z Fold 2 quite cool. It has a very similar design and hinge, but we now have water resistance, slightly better screens, a new processor, S Pen support, and a new software experience that really makes...

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Green) AU - Pristine review

The Galaxy Z Fold3 is the best argument that can be made for this form factor. If you have the money to own it, this is a magical device.

IPX8 water-resistant, Most durable foldable device on the market, Stunning Design

Battery life is still not consistent, Still very expensive

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB Black SM-F926BZKDXNZ review

Regular readers know I'm a fan of Samsung's foldable phones and have spent a few thousand dollars the past couple of years picking up the Galaxy Fold and then the Z Fold 2 , but in both cases, I went back to a standard smartphone after a couple of months.

An innovative engineering marvel, Armor Aluminum material for a lighter and sleeker phone, High IPX8 water resistant design, Extensive S Pen support, Software optimized for foldables

Still expensive, but $200 less than last year, S Pen is separate purchase, no silo, Battery life is just OK, Cameras not as good as other Samsung phones
