Fitness trackers and smartwatches can be seen almost everywhere you look these days. Samsung has a few different variations and it's been a couple of years since I last reviewed one of their offerings .
Purchased from 'ONLY BRANDED', the device was released in Romania, and as a result lacks Samsung Pay, the only reason I upgraded from my gear S2! The device itself is stunning, but do not buy from this seller as you'll be disappointed if you're seeking all the features.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is the sequel to the Gear Sport. It's stripped-down version of the flagship Galaxy Watch, with a focus on fitness tracking and wellness. It was announced earlier in the year, along with the new Samsung S10 at Samsung Unpacked.
Attractive design; Affordable; Number of features; Comfortable
Small icons can be fiddly; Bixby instead of Google Assistant
Samsung has been one of the few companies consistently launching new wearables in India. Its latest smartwatch to hit the market is the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active . This model is priced at Rs. 19,990 and it is aimed at people who wish to track their active lifestyle.
Crisp display; Good battery life; Swim-proof; Accurate sleep and heart rate tracking
Step tracking could be better; Limited third-party app support
I brought this as soon as it came out. Just months later the screen was cracked while I was swimming without me feeling any impact. Cost to fix the screen Almost $300. I expected more from a sports watch and better service from Samsung in terms of seeing this right.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is a simple and sophisticated smartwatch that offers a smaller, sportier version of the Galaxy Watch. It offers a fabulous display, good battery life for its size, easy-to-use interface, and its premium finish is up there with some of the best-looking smartwatches on...
Lovely design; Great build quality; Good price; Easy to use interface; Good fitness tracking options
Bixby isn't strong; No rotating bezel; No LTE model; Tizen OS still lacks apps; Active 2 has more features
If you are looking for a small and lightweight smartwatch that will look better on your wrist than a sporty fitness band, Samsung has got something for you: the brand new Galaxy Watch Active.Priced at the quite affordable $200, the Galaxy Watch Active works with both Android phones and iPhones, it is half the price of an Apple Watch and also much less expensive than Samsung’s other Gear watches, while still offering a beautiful display, a metal body, as well as a heart-rate monitor, GPS, workout and sleep tracking.Samsung has even promised that this watch will be its first one that you will be able to use to measure your blood pressure (but that feature is coming later on and is not available at launch).So… should you buy the new Galaxy Watch Active? And are there any hidden pitfalls? I have spent the last week with this timepiece and it’s time to sum this experience all up in our review. Small and lightweight, comfortable to wear; Quick Release for easy band replacement; Spot-on automatic workout tracking; Bright screen with always-on option; Accurate heart-rate measurements; Great price; Works with Android and iPhones;
Haptic feedback could be better; Rotating bezel is missed;
I have jade this watch for about 6 months now and it is very good at tracking my activities, even the ones I do not that I am doing due to my movement and heart rate. The customization is excellent and the battery last for a very long time.
Love everything, works without a hicup. Just wish the battery lasted longer
