Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Silver 44mm SM-R820NSSAXNZ review

While the original Watch Active felt like a first-generation product, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is a product that proves Samsung is listening to user feedback. The touch-sensitive bezel really helps with the overall experience, and there's now LTE connectivity for those who need it.

Sleek; premium design Sharp AMOLED display Touch-enabled bezel for quick navigation Bluetooth + LTE variants for more flexibility ~2 day battery life Fantastic sleep tracking

No MST payments with Samsung Pay Tizen app ecosystem is still lacking compared to Wear OS Heart rate; GPS; and altimeter sensors can be wonky Setup process still needs work

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Silver 44mm SM-R820NSSAXNZ review

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 LTE’s big USP is the 4G connectivity and the new touch-based bezel. At Rs 35,990 the watch is not exactly cheap, but if you want constant connectivity on your watch, then it is certainly more affordable than Apple ’s LTE Watches in the market.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Silver 44mm SM-R820NSSAXNZ review

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is still Samsung's most enjoyable smartwatch to live with. It strikes a good balance between design and the features on offer. While the price has crept up, it does still offer good value for money and the promise of ECG support will bolster the feature ranks – hopefully...

Still a lovely smartwatch to wear; Navigating bezel is back; Feature-packed for the price

Love it!

I have had my Galaxy Watch now for almost 12 months. It does everything I need to and more importantly it isn't one of those fruity brand devices which are overpriced and use design over functionality, I digress... The Samsung pay function does not work with my UK bank which is a little sad, and it also does not work on my Galaxy S10+ so am using google pay, would be so much easier to use my watch instead of getting my phone out! Battery lasts almost a week! that is great, if it were a fruity brand once or twice a day if you use it! Gotta love the battery life, one of the reason for purchasing this!

OK so far, poor floor counting though

I really like the lightweight feel of the Actie 2. I have the 44mm which is perfect for me. Fitness tracking is great and battery life seems fine, I'm expecting 3 days based on experience so far. The one disappointment likes the Galaxy Watch I've just replaced, it's hopeless to the point of useless at counting flights of stairs. It's set at 3 metres, so if you live in a typical UK house, you could run up and downstairs all day and it won't register a single flight. Some on Samsung at least let the user configure the floor count, or have it based on location perhaps. Not happy with that side of things. Not sure if Samsung Pay works as pretty much every UK major bank doesn't support it

Pretty, but faulty charger and not worth the money

Firstly, the strap which comes with this watch, and also every strap that Samsung offers for this watch are far too large for a petite/normal womens wrist. They only come in size M/L which is ridiculous for the amount of money I paid for the watch. Secondly, the wireless charger which comes with the watch is shockingly bad. It lasted 3 months before breaking, despite having no physical damage, and also only being kept in one safe location. I now have a dead watch. The reviews on this charger tell me I am not the only one who has had this issue. Fitness tracking is OK. Wouldnt recommend.
