The Galaxy Watch 5 is an incredible wearable when weighed up against its competitors. However, as a successor to the Galaxy Watch 4, it’s a huge letdown. The upgrades are few and far between, and there certainly isn’t enough on offer here to warrant trading in last year’s model.

We’ve had a Samsung review blitz over the past two weeks, covering all the products the company announced at its recent Unpacked event. In my write-up of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro , I noted how understated the product line was, in contrast to its flash, bombastic foldables .

The Galaxy Watch 5 is a well-priced Android smartwatch option that works best with Samsung phones but loses blood pressure and ECG features on other Android phones. It’s a solid option but there’s little market competition, and the digital bezel and battery life disappoint.
