Samsung Galaxy S4 (MetroPCS) Review

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the ultimate kitchen-sink Android phone for 2013, and MetroPCS brings it with low monthly rates. (4.5 out of 5) Editor's Choice Pros A blinding number of features Incredibly fast Spectacular call quality Cons Plastic body Low-light photo performance could be better...

A blinding number of features; Incredibly fast; Spectacular call quality

Plastic body; Low-light photo performance could be better; Expensive; up front

Samsung Galaxy S4 Review: In Depth

Is the Samsung Galaxy S4 the best phone out there right now? In many ways, yes. It's ‘smarter', it's more powerful and it'll last longer than the rest. Smart features like Air View and Multi Window work well and the 1.9GHz processor, stunning screen and great battery make the Galaxy S4 a gamer's...

Stunning screen; Powerful and innovative; Fantastic battery life; Strong camera in good light

Glossy plastic construction; Heavy interface; Occasional UI stutter; Mediocre low-light camera

Samsung Galaxy S4

At the end of the day, my feelings are much the same. The Galaxy S4 has grown on me a tad more. It's fun to use and is unquestionably one of the two best phones on the market. The larger screen size is very nice. But I don't prefer the look or the plastic flimsy construction.

Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU is the fastest in class; Massive UI customization; Some neat new features; Air Gesture is fun; Amazing camera; UI and static images pop; Qi wireless charging; NFC support; Love the multi-window app tray; Flipboard integration

Plastic feels flimsy, slipper and sub-par; Lacks heft; Clutter-potential with overlapping interfaces; To familiar in the face of changing competition

Samsung Galaxy S4 review

The Galaxy S3 firmly moved Android phones from iPhone wannabes to fully-fledged iPhone alternatives, matching Apple's baby in terms of performance and many features, and in the process became the best-selling Android phone in the world.

Slim and light; terrific screen; powerful processor; very good camera; loads of features

Possibly too many features; mono (not stereo) speaker; no HDMI port

Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a great smartphone with a lot of features and capabilities that help it match and exceed most of the smartphones in the market. The evolution of the voice, motion and visual interaction takes smartphone interaction to a new level.

Very advanced high performance processor; latest Android operating system; outstanding screen; camera; video and a lot of unique applications

Too big for some users

Samsung Galaxy S4

The fight is on. It is really on now. HTC played the first stroke, with that gorgeous HTC One. Samsung responded with the Galaxy S4. Fair amount of criticism has been showed S4's way for the plastic build. The aluminum unibody on the HTC One has taken the benchmark a tad further, without doubt.

Excellent performance; Crisp and vivid display; Plethora of unique features; Good battery life; Camera works well in good light

Lacks that premium feel; Too many features can confuse

Samsung Galaxy S4 Review

It's good to be king, especially when Samsung knows that it reached the top position after some early missteps. The Behold didn't earn the Korean manufacturer many friends, but the Galaxy S showed that Samsung could twist Android's software just enough to combine interesting features with...

Polished hardware and software; Improves upon winning formula; Powerful quad-core processor; User-replaceable battery; Great camera; Expandable storage

Plastic design is not for everyone, particularly on a flagship phone; HTC One delivers tough competition

Samsung Galaxy S4 review: The everything phone for (almost) everyone

With the Galaxy S4, Samsung clinches its goal of global smartphone domination. The supercharged Android 4.2 Jelly Bean device may look like a toy compared with the stunning HTC One and the dapper iPhone 5. But taken together, its blazing quad-core processor, colorful 5-inch HD screen, sharp-shooting 13-megapixel camera, and mile-high stack of software extras make the Galaxy S4 the most powerful superphone anywhere in the world.

Its laundry list of features require time and effort to truly master, but the Galaxy S4 is the top choice for anyone looking for a big-screen, do-everything smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has Android 4.2.2, a fantastic camera, a powerful quad-core processor, and software solutions for just about every scenario -- including working as a TV/DVR remote. It's also comfortable in hand and has NFC, a user-replaceable battery, and a microSD storage slot.

Its screen is dimmer than competitors', its plastic design gives it a cheaper look than its rivals, and we found the Galaxy S4's power button turned on at undesirable times. Not all camera modes work as promised, and a long list of software features can quickly overwhelm and confuse.

Samsung Galaxy S4

H alfway through 2010, Samsung introduced the innovative Galaxy S smartphone to the market. Since then, the enormous hype surrounding the Galaxy S phones has only increased, the S2 improved considerably and became enormously popular. Samsung outdid themselves with the Galaxy S3 .
