Samsung Galaxy S4 Android phone

The Samsung Galaxy S4 looks almost identical to its predecessor but includes a better display, an improved camera and a huge amount of software...

Excellent battery life; Impressive screen; Outstanding camera

Too many gimmicks; UI can be overwhelming; Slippery; plastic build

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is an excellent and overall outstanding smartphone with a few annoyances

How do you improve one of the most popular Android phones on the market ? If you're Samsung, you add a wealth of extra software features and a bigger and better screen, but keep largely the same design. This is the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Excellent battery life; Impressive screen; Outstanding camera

Too many gimmicks; UI can be overwhelming; Slippery; plastic build

Samsung Galaxy S 4 in-depth review -

Look and feel Slim and sleek. Although the plastic build doesn't scream 'premium', but it keeps the phone light and it still looks gorgeous and feels great in the hand. Ease of Use One of the most fluid uses of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean we have seen yet, and the changes to Samsung's TouchWiz interface...

Enlarged and improved screen; innovative features; great camera; strong battery life

Sheer number of options can be overwhelming; design is not wildly different to the S III; plastic body is off-putting to some

Samsung Galaxy S4 expert review

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the perfect successor to the S3; boasting a bigger, brighter and even more beautiful screen. The camera is amazing, especially the dual camera feature, the audio has improved drastically from previous Samsung devices and the new additions to the software are impressive in...

High end price point; Flimsy back casing; Top specs reflected in the premium price point

Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy line of smartphones is a juggernaut; like the iPhone, the next generation will sell well based simply on brand loyalty, trust and familiarity. Even so, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a lot to offer, and though I wasn't overwhelmed with love for the Galaxy S III, the S4 is seriously...

Huge display in a not so huge phone; excellent camera; removable battery; entertaining new features

Feature overload; only 9 gigs of internal storage on 16 gig model; still slippery

Samsung Galaxy S4 Review

Samsung is already on its fourth iteration of its highly popular and successful Galaxy S line. It is now pretty obvious that the Galaxy line made Samsung the No. 1 smartphone brand worldwide. With competition inching closer, the question remains if Samsung can maintain the wide lead.

* Top-notch performance; * Very high display resolution; * Great camera performance and features; * High-speed LTE connectivity; * NFC functions and features; * IR Blaster; * Good battery life

* More gimmicky features and bloatware

Samsung has done an exceptional job the past few years building interest and recognition for their Galaxy-branded smartphones. The fervor isn't quite on the level of Apple's iPhone launches, but if the attendance of their " Samsung Unpacked " event at Radio City Music Hall and the buzz on-line for...

Samsung Galaxy S4 review

You'd think Samsung's gameplan for this year would be pretty simple after shifting more than 50 million Galaxy S3s . Make last year's stonkingly successful phone slightly bigger and slightly better, sell bucketloads, then kick back and blow raspberries at the competition until 2014 rolls around.

Gutsy and powerful; Lush screen

Underwhelming design; New gestures a bit gimmicky

Review: Samsung Galaxy S4

The list of cool things the Galaxy S4 can do is astonishing. Right out of the box, without downloading a single app, you can perform a plethora of magic tricks. It follows your eyes, and it will pause a video if it senses you looking away.

Everything you loved about the S III, but more of it; Big battery lasts all day; Super AMOLED 1080×1920 screen is one of the sharpest you can buy, and it uses the new, more durable Gorilla Glass 3; MHL 2.0 port lets you connect to an HDTV; Crisp daylight photos.

Samsung's software is big bag of "why?" Construction is cheap, and there's nothing exotic or inspiring about the hardware design; Camera software is kludgy, and low-light shots get noisy quickly; Pricing varies widely (see above) but leans toward expensive

Samsung Galaxy S 4 review

The Galaxy S 4 is a solid improvement over the GS3, and the best Samsung device we've ever used, but we'd love to see Samsung come up with a fresh design and premium look.

Superb 1080p Super AMOLED display; Camera takes impressive daylight shots; Snapdragon 600 delivers solid performance; Battery life better than most flagships

Several new features are impractical and half-baked; Boring overall design without premium look or feel
