The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone has now been out for a couple of months. Here's where we find out whether the flagship Samsung phone is still head and shoulders above the rest of the Android market, or if other smartphone manufacturers have caught up.

So what's the verdict for the Samsung Galaxy S4 then In terms of style and design, the latest offering from Samsung does the job, though I can't hide the fact that I was expecting something a little more special from a phone that's set to dominate the market in 2013.

It's fair to say that Samsung's success with the Galaxy S3 has been nothing short of astonishing. The handset even gave the lauded iPhone 5 a run for it's money in terms of pure numbers, and for good reason.

The Galaxy S4 is a remarkable piece of technology, offering power, functionality and a solid platform for mobile gaming. Although it misses out on the much-hyped Exynos 5 "octo-core" chipset, the replacement Snapdragon 600 is almost as adept.

Full disclosure before I start the review – my current handset is the Samsung Galaxy S3, so I had more than a passing interest in how S4 stacked up against its predecessor and what it had on offer.
