Samsung's Galaxy S22 comes out on Wednesday, and as the first US phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 modem, it brings a few new 5G features that should especially excite AT&T users. The entry S series flagship for 2022 banks everything on going smaller than its predecessor. This 6.1-inch flat AMOLED screen is certainly attractive, but there's less battery on board than the previous year's offering, while the just-released S21 FE may hold just as much appeal for many - bringing into question Samsung's launch calendar of late.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a hair smaller than its predecessor, and the cameras are slightly tweaked, but the changes begin and end there. It's a fine phone, especially for people who like small-body compact mobiles, but it's hard to get excited for the device.
