Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

With almost all the main features of the S20 Ultra bar its huge camera and battery, the Samsung Galaxy S20 is arguably better value for money, with a gorgeous ultra-premium display, intuitive UI and still-impressive photographic capabilities.

Incredible AMOLED screen with silky 120Hz refresh rate, Supports all 5G standards (sub-6, mmWave, NSA), Powerful, with ultra-premium chipset, Camera system still bursting with features, Better value than the S20 Ultra

Design niggles with features such as phone speaker and under-screen fingerprint unlock, Battery life will suffer with the S20's high performance

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

The Samsung Galaxy S20 isn’t the most cutting-edge of Samsung’s S20 lineup – that honor goes to the Galaxy S20 Ultra – but it’s still a powerful phone with an ergonomic and attractive design, and the introduction of new features like 5G, the 120Hz display and upgraded rear cameras make it an...

A truly fantastic display, Strong camera performance, Lots of power and 5G-ready

Price is higher, especially for 5G, Erratic fingerprint scanner, Doesn’t support all 5G networks

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

Samsung Galaxy S20: Haven’t you heard? 20 is the new 11 – the basic Galaxy S20 is Samsung’s best-value flagship yet

Cheaper, but just as formidable, Camera is impressive, 120Hz is buttery smooth

Unnecessary design changes, Camera lacks 100x ‘Space Zoom’, 120Hz setting considerably reduces battery life

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

The Galaxy S20 offers almost anything you could want from a phone then goes a little further, but it’ll cost you.

By doing less than the S20 Ultra, Samsung achieves more

High refresh rate screen, Good battery life, Excellent fit and finish, High refresh rate screen, Good battery life, Excellent fit and finish

5G not worth the added cost, Cameras oversmooth faces, Software updates only guaranteed for two years, 5G not worth the added cost, Cameras oversmooth faces, Software updates only guaranteed for two years

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

Delivering an industry-leading flagship user experience while juggling tech innovations, marketing strategy and pricing at the same time is a daunting task. It is no longer enough to put out a solid phone - you have to present it to the world just right and you have to price it accordingly.

Excellent build quality and bill of materials. IP68 rating., You get all the flagship features the S20+ has, Familiar, yet modernized design and control layout., Superb 120Hz AMOLED display., Speedy charging solutions, incl. a 25W charger in the box, Very good stereo speaker setup.

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

Compact star system. Samsung's Galaxy S20 is the latest update to one of the most famous smartphone series. Compact size and powerful performance are a given, but the latest Galaxy smartphone is also supposed to come with an improved camera and longer battery life.

slim and lightweight case, bleeding edge up-to-date software, wide LTE band support, support for 8K video, great and very bright 120 Hz display, 60 Hz gaming, decent battery life, 5G optional

no aptX HD, location services not particularly accurate at times, many video features only up to FHD/30fps, Exynos SoC throttles noticeably, high temperatures under load, no real telephoto lens

Samsung Galaxy S20+ Plus 5G (12GB RAM, 128GB, Blue) - Excellent review

The Galaxy S20 Plus is the best Android phone I've used over the last year. It offers the complete package. A robust camera setup, an impressive screen, and it has the performance to match. The addition of 5G connectivity is something that some -- maybe most?

Performance, Battery live, 10x hybrid optic zoom is something every phone should have

Having all hardware buttons on one side is confusing., 30x zoom isn't terribly useful.

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

For most people, the Samsung Galaxy S20 is still one of the best Android phone available right now. Especially with the cheaper prices around. However, I would seriously consider the Galaxy S20 FE which has a Snapdragon 865 and better battery life, along with superior performance.

Lovely screen, A perfect size, Huge camera improvements over the S10

The fingerprint scanner is poor, 120Hz refresh rate drains battery, It looks just like every other Samsung phone

Samsung Galaxy S20 (8GB RAM, 128GB, Pink) AU - Pristine review

The Galaxy S20 is the best phone in Samsung’s S20 series, and simply the best phone the company makes right now. It’s compact, powerful, and packs a versatile camera system that may not match the Ultra on zoom or detail, but it meets – and sometimes beats – it across the rest of the board.
