Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Lavender) AU - Excellent review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Lavender) AU - Excellent review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

The high points are undoubtedly the refresh rate, chipset, and cameras, but most other aspects impress too. Really the only significant issue is the phone’s largely plastic build – which at this price isn’t really acceptable, but when it’s allowed for so much tech to be packed in it’s a lot more...

Smooth, high-quality 120Hz screen, Excellent triple-lens camera, Plenty of power

Plastic back, Only FHD+ resolution, Middling 6GB of RAM

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

Though the switch to glasstic is a bit of a disappointment, there’s a lot to love about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE – including the Snapdragon 865, a first for UK fans, and a gorgeous 6.5in 120Hz AMOLED display.

Beautiful 120Hz AMOLED display, Great battery life, Snapdragon 865 (on 5G model)

‘Glasstic’ body, Limitations on video recording, Have to pay for faster charger

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE at an event called "Galaxy for every fan", and FE stands for Fan Edition. It was meant to be a Galaxy flagship that was more affordable for Samsung fans, but for me, it wasn't that because I wasn't really a Samsung fan.

Flagship performance, A Snapdragon chip in Europe, Display, Stereo sound, Not many compromises

Camera loses appeal at, night time, A bit more RAM would be nice

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

All the essentials for $699

Reasonable price, 120Hz screen, Good cameras

Samsung’s photo tuning is unnecessarily aggressive, Fingerprint sensor a tick too slow, Samsung’s software regressing to a messy norm

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

Samsung's top-end phones are getting more and more expensive at an alarming rate, as evidenced by the fact that very few people bought an S20 during the series's launch window. Seeing the gap to fill between bargain-bin budget phones and outright luxury devices, this week, Samsung launched the...

Features The S20 FE has all the bells and whistles you could hope for., Performance The Snapdragon 865 is eminently capable., Display Big, bright enough, 120Hz., Price $700 is very fair for a phone this good. $600 is a steal.

Fingerprint reader It's okay, but the FE's optical in-display scanner is far from top-of-the-line., Camera You can get some great shots out of the FE, but there's still the typical Samsung goofiness., Software updates The FE ships with Android 10. Android 11 is one of its three promised OS updates.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Lavender) AU - Excellent review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is close to being the perfect combination of specifications and price.

Really nice screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, good build quality and matte back, good all-round camera, high performance and generally you get alot for your money.

The screen resolution is not as high as on the other models in the Galaxy S20 series. Comes with only 15 watt charger in the box, although 25 watt charging is supported.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (8GB RAM, 128GB, Navy) AU - Excellent review

I can’t say enough good things about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and if you want a phone that feels very much like a flagship without spending over £699 then this is the best that’s currently on offer.

Snapdragon 865 even in the UK model, Better battery life than other S20 models, Nice range of colours, Flat 120Hz display

You have to pay more for the faster charger, Secondary cameras aren’t the most detailed
