Samsung has hit a home run with the Galaxy Note 9 – never before has a device delivered in performance, power, design and features. The company took a tentative step forward with last year's Note 8 – the first device since the ill-fated Note 7 – yet still a key moment to deliver a new device to the...

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Smartphone 128GB Midnight Black SM-N960FZKANZC review
A near-perfect phone for true phone enthusiasts. If only the giant battery lasted a little longer- Great screen

- Superb cameras
- Battery life is only ok for its size
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review
It's fair to say that you have to dig a little deeper than surface level to really appreciate the Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s charms. The Bluetooth S-Pen, 1TB of storage and much-improved speakers aren’t features you’ll necessarily appreciate properly off a spec list in the local phone shop, but start using them, and their benefits become clear. Ultimately though, this is a enriched take on the Note 8 - an S9+ on steroids if you will - rather than something that feels brand new. But when those phones were pretty great in the first place, it's hard to complain too much. We say too much, because given the Note 9’s battery capacity, its real-world stamina could, and should, be a little better. And that dulls its shine, just a bit.- Great screen
- Top-notch performance
- Better than ever S-Pen
- Superb cameras
- Battery life is only ok for its size
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review: A sensational big-screen experience
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a catalogue of successes. With a premium build, an absolutely excellent screen, a mature software experience, great cameras, all the power you could possibly need, excellent battery life and fabulous AKG-tuned speakers, there's little it gets wrong.- Excellent display
- Great camera performance in low-light
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- Bluetooth-enabled S Pen
- Fantastic battery life
- So many features you'll likely never find
- Expensive
- Bixby button can no longer be redirected
- S9+ may suit more casual users
The Galaxy Note 9 price starts at Rs 67,900. It comes with Bluetooth LE-enabled S Pen. The Note 9 is armed with a 4,000mAh battery. It's been over seven years since Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Review: Android's best
Stuck in the same Galaxy- Impressive specs
- Stellar display
- Stylus functionally remains top tier
- Expensive
- especially in Canada
- Not that much of an upgrade over the Note 8
- Camera improvements are marginal
Samsung Galaxy Note 9
The Samsung Note 9 with its Exynos 9810 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage feels like old wine in an old bottle, with just a new label- Impressive battery life
- Great camera
- Class-leading display
- Not much of an upgrade from Note 8
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the best smartphone that money can buy. Unfortunately, it's going to take all of your money to buy it (or at least more than you're likely budgeting for a smartphone purchase this year). The iPhone X drove prices to this level, and we complained then, too.- Beautiful 6.4-inch Infinity Display
- Superb camera
- even in low light
- Battery and storage last and last
- Bluetooth S Pen shortcuts are fun
- Expensive
- A lot of small upgrades
- No HDR video recording
- We hate the Bixby button
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on paper doesn't do much to set the world alight. Its specifications match that of one or other previously released Samsung smartphone. What it does do, however, is improve on that hardware in almost all aspects, from a brighter display, better CPU performances, better AI...
