Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Dual SIM (8GB RAM, 256GB, Mystic Grey) - BRAND NEW review

The Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra in 4G or 5G are simply, unarguably the best Google Android smartphones on the planet. It is a shame that 99% of us won’t get to experience that. We all have champagne tastes on a lemonade budget.

120Hz screen is really for gamers - set it to adaptive, Huge, HDR10+ expansive screens, Professional-level colour gamut, Extremely well built and IP68, The most fully-featured phones on the planet (including iPhone), S Pen is the reason to buy – use it or buy an S20 Ultra, Shoot in 108MP if you want...

Big camera bump needs a case, Limited to 25W charging – some competitors are twice as fast, Still, a fingerprint magnet although the Mystic Bronze is better, 5G is still way to patchy to be a driver. Save a few dollars with eh 4G version

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G Mystic Green SM-N980FZGGNZO review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is the direct successor of the Galaxy Note 10 released in 2019 . The device is avilable with either 4G or 5G network variants. The configuration of both the LTE and 5G variants are same, except that the 4G version is only available with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal...

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G Mystic Green SM-N980FZGGNZO review

When looking at the specs sheets and comparing the Note20 and Note20 Ultra side by side the former seems to require quite a few compromises to be made. For example, 5G is not available in the lower-end model and the 60 Hz display is not befitting its class.

color-accurate display; powerful S-pen; spacious and fast USF 3.1 storage; good cameras; decent speakers

5G not standard but optional; no microSD support; darker display than its predecessor; only 60 Hz panel; no aptX HD or Adaptive aptX

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G Mystic Green SM-N980FZGGNZO review

If you're looking for a phone with an integrated stylus then there's little better than the note-taking potential of this phone. Sure, its 'glasstic' rear and lack of higher refrsh-rate screen are little red marks against its specification, but you can buy the step-up Ultra model if you see that as...

Integrated stylus delivers key point of difference; Great handwriting and notes input; Powerful and fluid operation; Neater design than Ultra version; Versatile and capable camera system

Lacks a higher refresh-rate screen (it's 60Hz here); 'Glasstic' rear - surely this could be glass on such a flagship?; Air Gestures still a gimmick; Should really be a bigger battery in a phone this size

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 review: Is the smaller Note the bigger winner?

If you're looking for a phone with an integrated stylus then there's little better than the note-taking potential of this phone. Sure, its 'glasstic' rear and lack of higher refrsh-rate screen are little red marks against its specification, but you can buy the step-up Ultra model if you see that as a problem - although we prefer the smaller price and smaller camera lump of this 'entry' Note model.

Integrated stylus delivers key point of difference; Great handwriting and notes input; Powerful and fluid operation; Neater design than Ultra version; Versatile and capable camera system;

Lacks a higher refresh-rate screen (it's 60Hz here); 'Glasstic' rear - surely this could be glass on such a flagship?; Air Gestures still a gimmick; Should really be a bigger battery in a phone this size;

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Dual SIM (8GB RAM, 256GB, Mystic Grey) - BRAND NEW review

It's extraordinary. It's crazy fast. Samsung is the only way to go. The size is perfect and my watch and my earbuds synced seamlessly. I've been a Samsung fan since the beginning, and I don't foresee ever straying. The best investment for a phone, and my watch and my earbuds and tablets, etc...

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Dual SIM (8GB RAM, 256GB, Mystic Grey) - BRAND NEW review

To me, this phone is incredible but lacks in value. Most people who don't like this phone are complaining about the Exynos CPU, and to be honest it is kind of disappointing that we don't get a snapdragon CPU, but the average person is not going to use this extra processing power.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Dual SIM (8GB RAM, 256GB, Mystic Grey) - BRAND NEW review

The Galaxy Note20 5G is a more affordable option compared to its pricier sibling with much of the same aesthetics and gains access to the same processor, 5G connectivity and the full functionality of the series’ fabled SPen though if you are looking for better value and can live without the stylus,...

Responsive and innovative SPen stylus, good cameras, smooth performance, refined and elegant design

No expandable memory, uses polycarbonate instead of metal and glass, screen capped at 60Hz refresh rate, no 3.5mm audio jack

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G Mystic Green SM-N980FZGGNZO review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is a good phone, but don’t buy it at its advertised retail price of $999.99. It’s a fine phone if you can find it for less, and hopefully you can because the only other phone with a stylus that matters is the very expensive Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

S Pen has come into its own; Solid performance and battery life; Reasonable size for more people

Not a good value at the original $1,000 asking price; No 120Hz refresh rate screen; Cameras are not inspiring
