The 970 Evo Plus is a speedy and much-improved SSD, even if it’s not the best outright
Faster than the 970 Evo; Less expensive than the 970 Evo;
Still lost in a crowd of better SSDs;

Does what it is supposed to do, runs on rocket fuel. Very fast and very quick reboot time, love it.
I already have a PC with a Samsung 950 Pro SSD, so I knew what to expect when I chose the 970 EVO Plus from Samsung's current offerings. It was replacing an existing NVMe SSD (Kingston HyperX Predator 240 GByte) as that drive was now too small to allow me to do the necessary upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The 970 EVO Pro is faster than the Kingston, but not hugely so, probably because the PC is an older one that only has PCI Express v2.0 instead of v3.0 which would run the SSD at full speed. Unlike the Kingston SSD, the Samsung does not interfere with how my older BIOS boots - I can boot from any drive on the motherboard or...view more

Easy to install and included software made cloning of C drive very easy.
This is so fast it makes your eyes water. It's changed my life! Seriously. From opening documents to the resource heavy Battlefield 1 the Samsung 970 EVO Plus opens before I have my headset on.
Met the specs on the box when benchmarked. I just wish it came with a heatsink.
The Samsung 970 Evo Plus is faster and cheaper than the 970 Evo Pro, and easily one of the better performers in the low end of the market. The five-year warranty for the Evo Plus is also very nice to have.
Fast everyday performance; More affordable than the 970 Pro; Write performance drop is mild compared to that of other TLC drives;
Slows to 875MBps during long writes;
We weren't expecting the 970 EVO Plus but we're certainly not complaining about this addition to Samsung's SSD range. This drive is one to go for if you want the best performance from an NVMe slot. There's little to dislike apart from the fact it has a rival offering better value.
A lower price saves this M.2 SSD, which isn’t as fast as expected, from a mediocre fate
Good price; Still relatively high performance; Exceptional durability;
Speeds not as fast as hoped; Previous ten-year warranty now only five;
