I bought the Samsung 860 pro in the hope of injecting life into my 6 year old toshiba qosmio laptop and I'm so glad that I did. At first I wasn't sure if I should fork out over ￡300 on a ssd when you can easily get a 2tb hybrid drive for a quarter of what your paying for the Samsung 860 pro.

Installed this into an old PC and instantly transformed the performance. All applications opened within a few seconds and the machine felt like a brand new one. I was very happy with it. Sadly after about 3 months, the computer would not boot and reported that it was unable to repair itself.

Very good SSD, I like it, not issue for the moment.

I upgraded my 2012 MBP with this SSD, it is now so much faster!

Samsung's 860 Pro didn't turn in a groundbreaking performance, but we're long past the time that any SATA drive can do so. With one or two minor exceptions, the 860 Pro lived up to the legacy of its predecessors.
