Micro capacitor OVERALL OPINION I used to take his particular voice and acoustic guitar. To take full advantage of this microphone, use a good preamp with otherwise you will not benefit from its full precision.
If you are a person that likes Rode mics, you will love the NT-2000. I have 4 NT-1's and I bought the NT-2000 to have a good recording studio mic for various applications since it has the omni, cardioid, and figure 8 settings as well as the bass and treble roll offs....
Being fortunate enough to own a high-end ‘classic' mic will, for many of us, have to remain something of a pipe dream. There is, however, little reason in this day and age why we shouldn't all be able to afford a model that'll give great results without having to break the bank.
This Mic records everything I do very well. Very clean and records your source very up front on your track. I run it through a tube pre and it gets even warmer yet stays clear. It picks up voice and acoustic guitar nuances very well. This is the best Mic I have.
If you plan on having a microphone that you can use for instruments and vocal, this is all you need. Throw away or sell all your other mics to get this one. This makes bad voices sound good and good voices sound great and great voices sound greater.
I was impressed. I liked the microphone and the price. NT2000, is infinitely variable, gives you the freedom to achieve what you want in any situao. Very good quality.
