I had my previous Roborock vacuum for 7 years and it still runs and does a pretty good job. I bought the S7 Max V with the combo wash, fill, empty dock and I couldn't be happier with them. The first thing I noticed is the S7 Max V is remarkably quieter than my previous vac. Also the addition of cameras and lights to augment the robots "vision" and the in built reactive AI make it way more resilient to rouge items on the floor, cables, socks, any thing below the laser that would have been before is now (mostly) picked up my the cameras and avoided before the robot can get stuck. I owned a first gen Roborock for 7 years and always wanted an auto empty dock. When I saw this get announced in China late last year I was excited but it was promising a lot. Having the S7 Max V and this dock for almost 2 weeks now; I can say i'm thoroughly impressed, the mop washing function seems to work quite well, although I reckon it's worth swapping and washing when you empty the dirty water and refill the fresh, I am only using filtered water at this point as you cant seem to buy the recommended cleaning solution in NZ, I'll save the vacuum review for that product page but even with just water the mopping performance is great,...view more

I absolutely love my Roborock, Garbage Goober is his name. I have a long haired German shepherd who moults 24/7/365, running this thing each day keeps on top of it to a point where I don't even see any fluff on the ground anymore. My carpet has beautiful lines in it like a golf course and my timber is nicely mopped and cleaned daily! I'm really impressive with how strong is sucks. The self emptying dock is a must, would love to get the ultra one that refills the water and cleans the mop pad as the water needs refilling daily.
