The Indoor Cam is a solid performer in every department, and the excellently designed app allows you to get granular within the settings. Whether it’s worth shelling out for the Protect plan depends entirely on your security needs, but if you like the idea of being able to keep an eye on your home when you’re not in it and don’t want to break the bank, this camera comes highly recommended.

Pick up the tiny Ring Indoor Cam (46 x 46 x 75mm) and it feels a little lighter and cheaper than the other Ring cameras I’ve reviewed. This model isn’t poorly made – far from it – but the fact that it doesn’t require waterproofing results in a unit that feels that much lighter and cheaper.
