Realme X3 SuperZoom review

If you’re prepared to sacrifice a little design and screen flair, not to mention 5G, the Realme X3 Pro is an incredibly attractive camera phone. It packs the most affordable periscope telephoto snapper money can buy, its photos and videos impress, and thanks to the stacks of power, storage and RAM under the hood, it performs like a boss too. Anyone on the hunt for a stonking camera phone and affordability, Realme could have just saved you a few hundred quid with the X3 Superzoom - it's that simple

Silky smooth 120Hz screen; Stacks of power and storage; Fantastic telephoto camera;

Plastic frame; Mediocre ultrawide camera; No 5G;

Realme X3 Super Zoom Review

Like the classic football analogy, the Realme X3 Super Zoom is a phone of two halves. There’s a lot of eye-popping features here like the 120Hz display, periscope lens and 30w charging – all of which you’ll rarely find at this price. But with real world use some things just don’t fall into place. The lack of 5G will annoy some, the camera needs to focus on what it wants to do best rather than try to do everything and the design doesn’t quite match the price-tag.

Matte back is a nice design touch; Loads of storage and a powerful processor; Zoom lens helps; Affordable;

The camera can be unreliable; Macro camera pretty useless; Feels very plasticky; No 5G support might annoy some;

Realme X3 SuperZoom review

Provided you can handle the sizeable Realme X3 SuperZoom, this phone strikes a favourable price/performance balance that focuses on camera capabilities above all else. Factor in the high-refresh-rate display, speedy 30W fast charging and decent high-end performance, and it's sub-£500 price tag looks rather enticing.
