Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

It's been just a few months since Razer announced its light-and-fast ambidextrous mouse, the Razer Viper, but the company already pushing a high-end wireless version to match. The Viper Ultimate ($149.99 with its wireless charging dock, $129.99 without) takes all the esports trappings and design choices of the original and affixes them to a wireless gaming mouse that, like all of Razer's wireless models, injects high-end features to justify a high-end price. The Viper Ultimate manages to cut the cord without any major compromises in its design, making it the best wireless esports mouse I've used yet. It's pricey for the full experience, but if you're resolute about both wireless connectivity and performance, it's worth it. It earns our Editors' Choice for wireless gaming mice. The Serpent by the…Wait, Where's the Tail? Like the original Viper, the Viper Ultimate is a high-end take on the seemingly standardized esports mouse. It, technically, has eight buttons—two main left/righ...

Razer's Viper Ultimate untethers and upgrades one of the best gaming mice a competitive esports player could ask for. It's a winner, but get the version with the charging dock.

Comfortable ambidextrous design; No-compromise RF wireless connection; Wireless charging is convenient and looks sharp

A bit expensive for the full package

Would've been perfect.

Got it and used it for work and everything seemed perfect. Then finally got some time to use it for a 3rd person shooter game. That's when I noticed the right mouse button(right click) sometimes fails to register. Shooting games uses a lot of right click that's the default button for scope . Searched online if it's a known issue, I did find mentions of issues with right click but not quite similar with mine

Amazing well rounded mouse

This mouse has to be one of the best mice I have ever tried throughout my gaming years, very few have withstood my expectations in a competitive level and this being similar to my previous mouse, the Razer abyssus in it's style made the transition even smoother than I expected. The viper ultimate is slick, responsive and I would have to say a must for anyone who is even remotely interested, I will be using this for many years to come like my previous mouse and it'll serve me in both casual and competitive fields. 10 out of 10.

Super smooth mouse. Fabulous connection, lag free

It’s the smoothest mouse I’ve seen. 0 lag, 0 delay, 0 issues. Constant - 100% consistency in providing smooth connection. The connection to the whether ipad, mac, pc is just amazing, both wireless and wired. The wire is high quality too unlike the plastic ones. Also the packaging is fabulous with cool razer stickers. Razer synapse makes everything cool too but a little more RGB would have made it better. Anyways, still top notch and the best mouse in the world for gaming and general use. The connection and smoothness as well as response stands out the most to me.

The Razer Viper Ultimate offers up some premium tech packed into a featherlight, ultra-responsive chassis, and the result can often be a stunningly intuitive experience.

Impressively lightweight, Lightning fast click response and tracking, Subtle design

Expensive, Small number of programmable macro buttons, No option to add weight

A great mouse, but terrible quality control by Razer

The Razer Viper Ultimate is an outstanding mouse for sure. It is lightweight and the connection feels just like a wired mouse. However, Razer has some quality control issues, especially with this mouse. I am on my 3rd RMA. The switches are just horribly inconsistent. It either creaks a lot or it feels "sticky" and less snappy. Only buy this mouse if you're feeling lucky.

Best mouse for FPS gaming

Been a fan of Razer for a long time and for a good reason. No other companies can match Razer in terms of quality mouses.

Great mouse overall

I bought this mouse about a week ago and I came from the Logitech G502. The first change of shape and weight was hard to adapt especially in the first few days but after some decent use, it feels a part of your body. The sensor is spot-on with this mouse and it has not yet tripped with any inconsistencies on the mouse mat. The clicks were hard to get used to but once you do, you would find it easy to click exactly when you want it to and not click too early or mis-click; this is important as I am an FPS player myself. The scroll wheel feels strange at first but once you adapt, it will feel great – especially when scrolling down for those bhops. The side buttons feel great although it seems too shallow for me, I will let it pass it is an ambidextrous mouse and I assume it would prevent mis-clicks. The overall shape feels weird at first although it pushes my fingers into a claw grip, allowing faster click times. I personally use this mouse with the charging dock and occasionally it would
