Razer Huntsman

If you like your clacky keyboards, Razer's new Huntsman is going to be right up your street. This thing is LOUD. Much louder, I'd say, than any other keyboard I've tested so far, and I'd probably even go as far as saying it's clickier and clackier than the Cherry MX blue switches found in mechanical...

The Razer Huntsman keyboard has finally landed on our desks and we are more than ecstatic to test the keyboard that has been lauded by many to be one of the best gaming keyboards in the market right now. Unboxing the beast, we found the standard Razerfare.

Satisfying typing experience; No-fuss keyboard; Very customisable

Keycaps get shiny; Price

This keyboard is beautiful. The media controls are perfect. The wrist rest feels luxurious. The laser keys are a neat addition to mechanical keyboards. So where does this product go wrong I have had several issues where the laser keys were sticking (!!!

Good switches, bad everything else

GOOD: The switches on this keyboard feel great, and I highly recommend it as a typing keyboard. The click combined with low activation pressure make it a great keyboard for reduced-hand-fatigue typing. It does an OK job as a gaming keyboard, but linear clickless red switches are still better.

Razer Huntsman Optical Keyboard : Superb Purple Switches

The arrival of the Razer Huntsman -- the sleek, cut-down sibling of the larger and more full-featured Huntsman Elite -- means it's time to continue our dive into the world of opto-mechanical keyboards, veering left from the analog domain of the Cooler Master MK850 or the Wooting One to check out a...

Stunning switches; Excellent sound; Quality construction; Subtle lines and lighting

Too noisy for some; Non-illuminated secondary functions; No dedicated media controls; Hard-wired cable

I'm extremely picky about mechanical keyboards. Had to try this one with the promise of fast optical switches, and it really is amazing. It's sensitive and takes a bit of getting used to, but it's so responsive and consistent, I love it.

Razer Huntsman Opto-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Quartz RZ03-02521800-R3M1 review

Regardless of whether you go with the Razer Huntsman or Huntsman Elite, Razer’s keyboard offering is the best I have experienced to date. If you can ignore the fact that it has extremely loud keystrokes (something I personally love), the Huntsman is the perfect PC gaming keyboard no matter what...

Razer Huntsman Opto-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Quartz RZ03-02521800-R3M1 review

Razer's Huntsman Tournament Edition is a solid twitch-response keyboard for competitive players comfortable prioritizing gaming over typo-free typing.

Light, compact design; Optical switches are accurate and have hair-trigger actuation; Detachable cable enhances portability.

Featherlight actuation can lead to lots of typing mistakes.

Razer Huntsman Opto-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Quartz RZ03-02521800-R3M1 review

Pick up the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition if you want a tenkeyless esports keyboard with a novel key switch design. Avoid it if you don't want to spend $130 on a tenkeyless model.

Compact design, Great performance, Sensible software

Expensive, Key switches feel similar to cheaper options, No carrying case or cable management
