Mostly plug-and-play, other than the Razer LED control software which you can skip. -- I was reluctant to buy this as Razer gear usually requires Razer software, luckily being that older TB3 chip Windows supports it out-of-the-box. MacOS does NOT support this older chip without Kernel Extensions (google kext or look at eGPU.io website). Combined with the Official Apple TB3 to TB2 adaptor (MMEL2AM/A) you can connect this to older TB2 MacBooks. -- There are issues with the older chip in this if you use more than the GPU slot, ie the USB and Network there is unexplained lag (google it).
