Razer Book 13 : A superb ultraportable for work

Razer hits the ultraportable bullseye with its first throw

Stylish and very well made; Funky RGB-backlit keyboard; Point of entry into the Razer lifestyle;

256GB SSD too small for the price; The competition offers better battery life; Fan's a bit noisy;

Razer Book 13 Review

The Razer Book 13 is one of the most powerful Windows Ultrabooks available, flaunting some serious style with its skinny screen bezel. But the extravagant price for this laptop is hard to swallow, especially with stingy SSD storage and the omission of a fingerprint scanner.

More powerful than most Windows Ultrabooks; Capable of entry-level gaming; Stylish and portable design; Great port selection;

Overpriced ; Stingy storage options; No fingerprint scanner; Slightly heavier than rivals;

A little overpriced, but definitely worth buying.

Pros: - It's capable of running large amounts of code, and medium-heavy 3D model and image rendering. - Can run the majority of games on "high" settings (Though I recommend sticking to medium for the best FPS) - Quick boot time. - Easy to switch OS to linux, or back to win10. - Super portable, it's lightweight without feeling cheap and floppy like many smaller laptops are. - It's an absolutely beautiful looking laptop appearance-wise. Cons: - Backlighting doesn't cover the full keyboard properly, specifically around the edges. For example, my caps lock key...view more

Excellent,but I highly recommend downloading razer synapse to lower the temps and volume of the fans

The other review says just about everything I thought about it, but I'd like to add, if you're having issues with overheating or the fans going insane, there is a way to fix this properly. Download Razer Synapse 3, from there, you can look for and find the laptop's fan and battery settings. I recommend lowering the fan RPM to somewhere between the minimum-medium range. You can also set the laptop to power saving mode if you're not doing any heavy load work. This will completely silence the laptop while keeping it at cool temperatures. (psst, you can also change the keyboard lighting in razer synapse)
