Razer Barracuda X Review

Supports multiple platforms for wireless ; Good audio quality and 3D sound on PS5; Ideal design for on-the-go music playback; Great 20-hour battery life ;

Lack of Bluetooth for dual connectivity; No companion app or high-end features; 7.1 surround sound on PC is locked behind a paywall;

Razer Barracuda X Review

The Razer Barracuda X ($99.99) is a wireless gaming headset that works with nearly anything, thanks to its USB-C transmitter. You can plug it into your PC, Android phone, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch and instantly get wireless sound. It’s high-quality sound, too, and the mic captures voice communication with loads of clarity. That’s a comprehensive package (except for iPhone and Xbox users) for a reasonable price, so the Razer Barracuda X earns our Editors’ Choice award for wireless gaming headsets. Light and Clean The headset is basic and black, similar to the Blackshark V2 in design, but with flat earcups instead of rounded ones. Every outside surface is matte black plastic, except the earpads and headband padding that are fabric- and faux-leather-wrapped, respectively. Although the padding isn’t particularly thick, the headset offers a comfortable fit thanks to its light, 8.8-ounce frame. The Barracuda X's featherweight nature makes it feel less solid than the Blackshark ...

The Razer Barracuda X is an incredibly flexible wireless gaming headset with a USB-C adapter that easily connects to PCs, Android phones, and the Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation consoles.

USB-C dongle works with PC, Android phones, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation; Strong audio performance; Clear microphone; Light, comfortable fit; Bundled with lots of cables

No carrying case or pouch for cables or dongle; No Bluetooth or wireless connectivity for Xbox or iPhone; Doesn't feel quite as solid as other Razer headsets

Razer Barracuda X (2022) Review

Last year’s Barracuda X from Razer impressed us with its fantastic value for a wireless gaming headset. For $99.99, it offered a comfortable fit, a solid build, good sound quality, an excellent mic, and plenty of connection options thanks to its USB-C transmitter. The only thing it truly lacked was Bluetooth connectivity, and despite this the headset still earned our Editors’ Choice award. Razer tweaked the 2022 Barracuda X with one major change: Bluetooth. That means it can now connect to your phone, PC, Nintendo Switch, or any other Bluetooth-enabled device without the transmitter. That’s all while keeping the same performance, price, and design. With that in mind, it easily earns our Editors’ Choice recommendation for budget-friendly wireless gaming headsets. The Same Look and Feel The updated Barracuda X—available in black, pink, or white—is physically identical to the previous version. It’s Razer’s most unassuming headset, with plain, oblong plastic cups with flat backs, a...

The 2022 Razer Barracuda X is one of the best wireless gaming headsets you can buy for $100, with strong performance, a comfortable fit, and lots of connectivity options, including Bluetooth.

Strong audio performance; Clear mic quality; Comfortable fit; Plenty of connectivity options with Bluetooth, USB-C transmitter, and 3.5mm

7.1-channel simulated surround sound isn't the most accurate; Doesn't come with a carrying bag or case

So smooth and easy to use.

So unboxed it, plugged it in and was having some smooth voice chats in seconds. "win 10 user" In games it worked seamlessly and with discord, could hear all the sound voice and everything like a pro. The controls are easy to use also, gone from a webcam pleb to a headset lord ha.
