I unfortunately made the decision to purchase off-the-shelf NAS (more than 1 QNAP) to save time and effort within my business and focus on other aspects. We also use cloud platforms as backup services but the NAS was intended as a local option as part of a distributed backup and as storage for IP cameras. The software is unreliable, the machines boot randomly and regularly and I have attempted to work with QNAP support in order to resolve, but they are unhelpful even when you extract logs, save and upload.
