Popular among my users

I'll definitely continue to buy as the need comes up because it's an overall good value for the price when compared to competing products.

The headset is easy to setup and works great with my ShoreTel 485G office phones without the need for any additional parts; I have purchased 4-5 of these (including one for me) and we all enjoy them.

I haven't found any cons yet

Great product, use it everyday

Great product, use it everyday. Being able to switch between office phone and voip / Isofthpone is a great feature. If you use a voip line remember your quality of interspeed can be a determining factor for your quality of sound.

Poor Performance - Try something else

First - these headsets DO NOT work with a CORDLESS phone. They are meant for a desk type phone with a handset. You must spend another $ for an adapter-cable to use the headset with a cordless, non-handset phone. That wouldn't have been so bad, but the performance was not in the $ price class of this...

I liked my old model better

First of all, Plantronics is the best for quality headsets, but I'm not sure I like this new model. I purchased the CS540 to replace the CS50 that I used for almost 10 years. What I like about the new model; (1) Sleek, more modern design (2) Non-slip base (3) Lighter headset, almost weightless What...

We purchased these since our office floor uses wireless headsets for mobility. Having over 100 employees using headsets in the general vicinity of each other, we opted for the XD version. No issues yet!

Useful to have about

A good radio for short range/line of sight. You're not going to get huge range with a license free radio since they are only 0.5W. But these T40s are still very useful to have for walks, days out etc, and they also work in a car convoy (although only to a certain distance).

Plantronics CS540 Headset & Lifter Set

Cheaper versions are available for this which unfortunately I bought before I found the Plantronics brand. Having tried several brands I can recommend this for sure.

Plantronics/Poly CS540 Wireless Headset

A very good price for an excellent quality product. Set up doesn't take long and the headset is easy to use and comfortable to wear. Sound is very clear though it takes a while to get used to the slight delay between picking up the call and the customer being able to hear you.

Innovative design

Being able to swap between headset and earpiece is great, a very innovative design idea for wireless headsets. Still has the same great plantronics quality too.

Lighter, More Comfortable, Nice Upgrade!

Much better than the CS55, this lighter weight design adds much more comfort, with improved sound quality. This unit is great if you spend a lot of time on the phone, or even for the "marathon" phone conferences.

Comfortable; Easy Controls; Glasses Compatable; Lightweight; Plug and Play; Sleek design

Cable management; OTHead set awkard on base
