The best item for lighting a tv can have. I have a hue sync box and movies are epic. Great sound system too can’t ask for more 10/10

Hands down one of the best home theatre products I’ve bought. Very easy to install. It is pricey, but I have no regrets. Gaming, music and movies are all on another level then this is turned on.
I have other Hue lightstrips, but the build quality and it’s ability to show multiple colours around the edge of the TV simultaneously make it unique. Pair it with the Hue HDMI Sync box, put on a YouTube 8k demo and WOW!! The only problem I have had, is the corner brackets coming off in the QLD heat. They have a tough job to do, as my TV has an angled back bevel at the corner so it’s flexing and turning 90°. I’ve had to buy more 3M VHB tape to stick along the length to keep it in place. I think they should have doubled the number of mounts.
Works absolutely great. Four stars Only because the price is maybe a little bit steep as you also have to purchase the sync box. Installation is a little bit tricky, you do have to be careful with the strip. I think placement instructions could have been a little bit clearer. It was difficult to work out how high up the strip was going to be. Also you have to put in light bars or a light strip at the bottom of the TV to make the effect complete. Once its all set up its great. Some options from the PC sync are missing eg. Use audio for effect
The Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box makes a great addition to any home cinema setup, flashing coloured lights to match the on-screen action. It's the inclusion of the Gradient lightstrip that really brings the system to life.
Gradient boosts the HDMI Sync Box's capabilities; Easy to set up; Works smoothly and quickly
Expensive; Only HDMI 2.0 ports
