OPPO R15 Pro Review

It's not easy being a smartphone maker these days. Jump on the latest fad and you'd be called a copycat. Hold off and you're branded as a dinosaur. So what's an OEM gotta do Follow what makes sense. For OPPO, that means giving the OPPOR R15 and R15 Pro an admittedly somewhat useful notch.

Well-balanced performance and battery life; Vivid and vibrant camera output

Slippery glass texture; Creamy AI Beautification; Proprietary VOOC fast charging

The Oppo R15 Pro is an interesting smartphone, but not for the reasons you might think. It's an all-around solid phablet with a huge OLED screen, great cameras on both front and back, and stellar battery life.

Solid performance and battery life; Great selfies; Nice big screen

Some software bugs; Should be cheaper; Fumbles on the details

Oppo is a company consistently adopting the latest trends to stay relevant in the market. The R9 added dual cameras to compete head-to-head with flagships from Huawei and Honor , and the R11s slimmed down its bezels to compete with other narrow-bezeled devices on the market.

Big bright display Smart navigation Beautiful colors Fantastic selfie camera Lots of storage and RAM

Expensive for what you get Screen resolution Buggy software Expensive for this tier of device micro-USB

Oppo R15 Pro

Arguably the coolest phone brand among Android enthusiasts is OnePlus . It's both powerful and stylish, with a scarcity that makes it feel special. OnePlus, you may not know, has a lesser-known (in the US) sibling called Oppo . Oppo's phones are also worthy of your attention.

The Oppo R15 Pro is a strong all-rounder, giving you solid cameras, battery life and power for a reasonable price; It also looks less like an iPhone than previous models, and it comes with a headphone jack

Oppo's operating system is still a blatant iOS clone, and portrait photos can look washed out; They charge through the outdated Micro-USB port

Oppo R15 Pro review

Oppo's R15 Pro excels in some of the more significant areas, with an awesome screen, camera and performance, and if you're a fan of the contemporary glass-back design, then there are few handsets that pull it off as stylishly, thanks to its iridescent gradient.

Delightful display and aesthetic; Premium design and performance; Great value

Micro USB port is dated; Weak battery performance

OPPO R15 Pro

The R15 Pro is an appealing phone from the design to the hardware specs. It feels like a better phone than the R15, deservedly so. But the price positioning on both the R15 and R15 Pro is on the high side, and with all the me-too design elements like the notch, curved glass back, dual cameras, there...

OPPO R15 Pro Smartphone Ruby Red R15 PRO review

The Oppo R15 Pro is a terrific midrage phone, but it lacks the OnePlus 6's processing power, more interesting operating system and battery life.

As someone who found the last two entries in Oppo's R-series a little stale, the Oppo R15 feels like a breath of fresh air. Sure, the R7, R9 and R11 have all been solid devices that have emulated some of the strengths of Apple's iOS products without the caveat of having to buy into the company's...

Phenomenal hardware; Much-improved software experience

No wireless charging; Camera capabilities lag behind flagship competition

A premium mid-range phone design with buttery smooth performance – OPPO...

OPPO R15 Pro is a major leap from the previous OPPO phones with excellent performance and a buttery smooth experience on a mid-range phone. With the glass back design, OPPO R15 Pro feels as premium as it can be (it feels like holding a Samsung Galaxy phone) with almost half of a price of a higher...
