Great at cooling the room. Tad on the noisy side when the compressor is 'on' otherwise quiet. Top water outlet pipe is a great feature. Unit is easy to use and being on coasters is easy to move.

The portable air conditioner only works well for the first two week and then it just stop blowing out cooled air. It is just a fan essentially. The compressor doesn't work properly and it is super loud too.

I bought this for my daughters room which is a full sun, north east facing room that holds the heat and approx 3.5 X 2.5m. I had a 10 000BTU before which could not cool the space down, this is 14 000BTU and perfect for the job. It is a little noisy but thats the reality of an indoor unit

I knew these portable air conditioners dont really work but I succumbed because of the heat this year. Its a lot of money for a minimal effect. The whole tube out the window thing is inconvenient and annoying, we had to rearrange the room to accommodate it. Its also extremely noisy. Having said all that, it is vaguely cooler in the room. Probably not $700 cooler though. Make your own mind up about weather its worth it. The machine itself seems well designed and fine.
