Bought about a month ago. Very very very very loud!!!! I don't have enough experience to comment on whether this is typical but if you live in a flat, you will need some very forgiving neighbours for your morning smoothie. Very nice programs particularly for those who do not know how to make a smoothie, etc. The cups aren't fantastic however - cheap feeling. Can confirm that this does hommus and pesto incredibly. The warranty is confusing as the brand seems to only cover you if you are in CA or the USA. Finally, the blade-base looks tacky - the little rubber bits look and feel like they will come off entirely. Conclusion: WTY is ambiguous, takeaway cups are cheap feeling, machine is very loud. However the machine consistently puts out excellent smoothies and dips.
