Oh my…. This 24-70mm is ‘The Cats Meow’..! On my D7200, I’ve gotten so many compliments, on how crisp and clean my photos are. I’ve been told that I was the only one that made someone actually feel good about themself, because she was so happy how her photos looked!

I\'ve used the lens primarily for photographing indoor car shows and trekking (landscapes) in the wilderness. The VR comes handy in car shows. Though its performance didn\'t blow me away, I really appreciate it being included.

This lens is one of the best out there. Highly recommended for any business that needs high quality images for any reason. We use it to show our customers what is on top of their roof. It has been fantastic for us.

really sharp and the VR is fabulous; Lightening fast AF acquisition

Like many photographers, when Nikon introduced their 20-35mm f/2.8 lens I just had to have one. Being a commercial photographer, the ability to carry a zoom that would cover this field of view was very handy, especially for assignments that involved shooting in buildings or offices for public...

It took Nikon nine years to finally release an update to its popular workhorse standard zoom lens in the form of the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR, which gained a few new features compared to its predecessor, including the much desired image stabilization.

Replacing the previous Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G AF-S ED lens, Nikon has released this new version, adding more complexity to the optical design and also their VR (Vibration Reduction) system. The lens promised the highest optical quality and durability, for the most demanding professional requirements.

I have been pondering the addition of a lens in this zoom range for some time. I was tempted by the previous edition of this lens, but thought that Nikon would eventually bring out one with VR. Which they did, but initial pricing seemed a bit high.
