So far I am really liking this camera. I love the speed in which it turns on, I love that you can easily transfer pictures from the camera to your smart phone, I love settings it offers, and I love the majority of the pictures it takes.

I bought this to take underwater photos and that worked great. What surprised me was how great the regular pictures I took were. I also have a Nikon d700 and a d300. The only issue I've had is connecting it to my iPad.

I am only going to comment on underwater usage. Also, I am going to compare with Canon D30. I currently have two of Canon D30 and two Nikon AW130s. I have taken both cameras to 35m depth with no problem, so I consider their depth rating to be the same.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, at this point, the main reason to buy a camera like the AW130 is its extreme durability, features, and little else. Smartphones have come a long way, and the appeal of point and shoots is starting to rely more and more on features that the fragile little...

Nice Quality photos & videos

Great for those snatch moments and as a second camera Or when in the mountains you don't want to lug your ton-weight DSLR around. Bonus is the reasonable quality movie mode. Only drawback is that I would have liked a viewfinder to avoid parallax
