Disaster has struck the Mushroom Kingdom yet again. Bowser, whose hobbies include doting over his only child, has arrived at Peach's Castle to do what he does best. Indeed, he has captured the princess, plunged the land into chaos, and ruined one moustachioed hero's otherwise lovely day.
If you've played New Super Mario Bros U at all before, there's not a whole lot of reasons to go back. It's still terrific 2D Mario title, and it's aged gracefully, with only the slightest of nips and tucks along the way. Just don't go in expecting anything more than what you got in 2012.
As the most recent entry in the modernized 2D platforming series, New Super Mario Bros. U provided a wide array of fun, colorful stages for you to run, jump, and explore through.

Ever since the Nintendo Switch came along there has been a deluge of games making their way from the Wii U - a console that never really took off for Nintendo - and arriving on the Switch for another bite of the apple with a new audience, often wrapped up in new packages.
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is an impressive package if you skipped the original, offering the best of modern-era 2D Mario, madcap multiplayer and glimpses of the outrageous invention that was to come in Super Mario Odyssey.
