bought this brand new and get constant disconnections, do not purchase
I thought it was expensive but that's why I went for it. I should have bought one a long time ago. It's a huge upgrade over a 150n with the high gain antenna. I was worried about 5GHz not having range but I get a much better signal at a longer distance. AND. SO. FAST!

So I havent been able to get the speeds that are promised by the manufacturers. I currently have the 1GBPS from comcast. My Galaxy S9 and AC1200 pull 400-500 mbps. This device keeps me around 230mbps. I've tried to look up video on how to fix but nothing seems to work.
Eitherwise Ok choice

But sucks at Gaming; or streaming content
Bought this to help set up second tv, works great in spare room.
It worked perfectly on my windows 10 pc, used the recommended software even though it seems to just be bloatware.
The NETGEAR mini adapter is working terrific. My laptop always has 5 full bars of signal strength.
This WiFi adapter does not have proper drivers for windows 8.1 and that results in very poor connection. I had to bring my router very close to the PC in order for it to maintain a stable connection which is ridicules as how can a WiFi adapter have I donu2019t know a worse WiFi antenna than a smart...
