There's a been a glut of smart home-security cameras enter the market of late, and the Netatmo Welcome is leading the charge. Like its rivals, the Netatmo monitors your home, and records and sends you alerts when something happens.

There are lots of security cameras aimed at home users, but the Netatmo Welcome was the first that could recognise faces. There's now the Nest Cam IQ , but that costs a lot more and requires you to pay a subscription to enable most of the features.

I was really disappointed with this product, especially as I had high hopes for it. I was unable to get it interfaced with my internet despite trying everything their advanced troubleshooting suggested other than closing down everything associated with.

The camera not only looks good but it's great! With my children arriving home from school before we do from work I feel much better knowing they're in and safe. It's also great for when no one is in the house. If ever there were a security issue we'd be able to see whats going on.

I've only purchased to see if I have anymore coming into my house but if you want to purchase just incase of a burglary then I wouldn't bother. The quality of face image captured in videos are extremely poor. So poor other people often wouldn't be able to identify the people on the video.

Excellent face recognition. Love this product. A bit top heavy, and has a tendency to tip over if you look at it wrong. Otherwise, an excellent product.

Initial set up involves linking the device to your wireless network before positioning it where it can easily see people as they enter your home. Unfortunately, it can't be wall mounted which means it has to be placed on a flat surface which might not suit some users and the layout of their homes.

During a recent vacation, I had no fewer than three webcams watching my home. I can't tell you how comforting it is to be able to open an app, access my Nest Cam (formerly Dropcam) to see my great room or open another app to see compressed versions of the activity in front of my house thanks to Flir...
