Maybe it's time for another Burnout instead

Went wrong somewhere along the line. The original idea might have promise, but in practice it has failed. Threatens to be interesting sometimes, but rarely.

I love this game! I had it for my Xbox and I just got it for my pc and I still love even though I lost 80 hours of gameplay on my Xbox since I got it for my pc. I love this game and some of the nfs games.

Game Review: Need for Speed Payback

Gamers the world over since the inception of the 2 nd wave of Fast and Furious films have wanted to experience what its like to be a part of an elaborate heist crew, which is robbing companies, mobsters, and low-lives alike, first hand.

It Works; Can Already Be Purchased for Less Than £30

Laughably Bad; Borderline Idiotic Story; Lacks Any Meaningful Content; Built Around Grinding and Loot Boxes; Unrewarding and at Times Downright Infuriating; Has no Personality of Its Own; Full of Graphical Glitches and Texture Pop-ins

Need For Speed review – reboot the reboot

EA's arcade racer is revamped for the current gen consoles, but is this really the best way to restart such an important series

The graphics and sound are amazing when viewed separately from the rest of the game; The drifting is fun and so too are the customisation options

The races are horribly boring, in terms of their design, the rubber band AI, and the poor sensation of speed; Boring city design and self-destructive always-online requirement

Need for Speed Review - Burnt out

The Need for Speed series has struggled to find an identity for years, despite takes by numerous developers. Between the forgotten titles, we've had the Fast and the Furious-inspired Underground, the cops vs racers of Hot Pursuit (twice), the straight-faced track racer Shift and the open-world...

Appearance customisation options are good; Looks incredible...

...but turns and dangers are hard to pick out; Car rotation is poor; Events are rarely fun; Story scenes and phone calls are horrendous

Xbox One Review - 'Need for Speed Payback'

Buy Need for Speed Payback Racing games need to have an identity. With all of them doing basically the same thing, there needs to be something that's easily recognizable as a signature piece of that game or series.

Need for Speed Payback Review

is a big, competent, and confident arcade racer but it's really let down by its linear cop chases, its overwrought and insidious upgrade system, its dreadful dialogue, and its superficial action sequences.

they love this game

Can't get the kids off the xbox now ... they love this game. The graphics are excellent and the mapping is a good fun way to make more of a 'journey' out of the game instead of just randomly driving round race courses.
