Using this with 2.4ghz I got a great, strong signal. However, I bought this to use as a 5ghz adapter, and this device wasn't able to connect to my existing network setup. Specifically, this adapter states a maximum frequency of 5725 MHz. This means it doesn't support channels 149 - 165, which are valid channels in NZ. By setting my router to only use channels 36-48 I was able to connect, but the changes resulted in a significant speed decrease on the network. I only used it briefly and the signal strength seemed flawless - but make sure you know what 5ghz channels your network use before buying this.

I needed a high gain WiFi device due to electromagnetic interference. This device works with low latency and high speed throughput. Keep in mind you have to let it install before it works so it's not a true plug and play device, but the installation is easy enough and software is included on the device - no more need to be online, to get online - Good thinking!
