Logitech Spotlight

The Logitech Spotlight feels very comfortable and natural in the hand, and the three-button design simplifies interacting with your computer during your presentation. The large middle button is a natural rest for the thumb, and with only one other button above and below, you won't easily press the...

Attractive, simple design; Air mouse functionality; Programmable button gestures

Expensive; Clunky as an air mouse in non-presentation scenarios

Review: The Logitech Spotlight -- a new kind of presentation remote

First, let me admit that I don't have a lot of experience with presentation pointers. The few presentations that I've done over the course of my career did not involve PowerPoint slides -- or any other type of slideshow, for that matter. I've been lucky enough (so far) to be able to avoid them.

Logitech Spotlight Review

Presentation remotes get the job done, letting you click back and forth between slides without keeping your hand on a mouse, and some offer useful features like built-in laser pointers and even air mouse and trackball functionality. But the category, as a whole, has been generally stagnant. That's where the Logitech Spotlight comes in. Logitech's newest presentation remote is the sleekest, most stylish one we've seen to date, and allows you to set custom commands, like scrolling through documents and volume control. That style and substance comes at a price. At $129.99, the Spotlight is twice as much as nearly every other presentation remote out there. If you give a lot of presentations, however, it's worth a look. Design The Spotlight is striking but simple, a far cry from most of the black and gray mouse-like blobs out there. It's a rounded aluminum wand that measures 5.2 inches long and 1.2 inches wide, available in gold, gray, and silver finishes. It only has three buttons: a...

Logitech Spotlight Presentation Remote Review

The Spotlight Wireless Presentation Remote is a great product. The price is on the high side for a presentation remote, but if it will help you to give even more effective and enjoyable presentations, it's surely worth it.

Easy to use; useful custom keystrokes; good at highlighting important parts of your presentation

Lack of custom timer; a bit pricey

Almost useless

I have a Macbook Pro w/Toolbar and when you plug in the dongle my computer freezes and you can no longer use the mouse. The ONLY way to get his to work at all is: 1. Open up the powerpoint presentation you want to use 2. Go into presentation mode 3.

Logitech Spotlight Wireless Presenter review

Throughout most of recorded history, a pointed staff has been the preferred method of directing an audience's attention towards an item displayed during a presentation. Five Stars

I like the product, but wish it had a laser pointer incorporated.

Great for any presentation wizard or someone who wants to draw attention to software demos and/or specific areas of the screen.

I have had this for 1 week, and my initial impression is every presentation wizard can benefit from this wand. The Zoom/Circle/Highlight feature is as good as it looks. Moving the mouse pointer and clicking works well. Scrolling gesture once configured works good too.

Logitech Spotlight review

It doesn't matter if you're a professional presenter or not - when you're in front of an audience everything counts. Your posture, your attention focused on the audience, your delivery will all be considered by the attendees when they answer those end-of-conference survey asking, on a scale of one...
