Logitech G403 Prodigy Review: Just Another Gaming Mouse

From the number of thumb buttons on the side to the number of LED colors on the palm rest, gaming mice have never been more versatile. Do we really need another one? Logitech's answer is an enthusiastic "yes," as made evident by its two brand-new mice: the G403 Prodigy ($70) and the G403 Prodigy...

Comfortable grip; Intuitive software; Excellent fidelity on wireless variant

Derivative design; Unsatisfying thumb buttons; No more beginner-friendly than competing mice

Logitech G403 Prodigy Wireless Gaming Mouse

In the introduction to this review, we asked if this could be "The One", the wireless mouse that gamers have been waiting for since the dawn of the PC gaming era. Well, from our point of view, it is.

Unmatched comfort; unmatched wireless performance; fair price

Logitech's lighting effects need work; 20-30 hour battery life

As a general six-button gaming mouse, the G403 delivers, but Logitech offers better (and better-value) mice for serious gamers in its own line.

Attractive design; Adjustable weight system; Lift-distance wizard; Stores five DPI settings onboard; Supports game-specific profiles

Realistically; only two buttons to program; No DPI-shift toggle or thumb rest; No sleep mode; Pricey versus older; better Logitech mice

No nonsense gaming mouse

Gaming mice tend to look like a horrific Michael bay transformer, be covered in tacky lights and have a huge number of superfluous buttons. This one does have lit elements but they can (mercifully) be disabled. The g403 prodigy is light, has a great sensor, and a standard button configuration.

Excellent Mouse

Highly recommend for anyone wanting a top end gaming mouse with the convenience of wireless.

Top end sensor; very light left and right click; delay isn't even noticeable; perfect shape for my hand; alright lighting

Sensor rattle; it's a little loud but when you're actually using it it's not terrible and doesn't affect my gameplay at all; the right click is starting to have an issue where its very hard to press every now and then; it feels like a piece of plastic is stuck in the switch or something.

Amazing shape and perfect button placement

This is the perfect mouse shape for me. I used the Razer DeathAdder for a long time, and played well with it. I decided to try the Zowie EC2-A because it looked like a more comfortable shape and had good reviews.

-Great shape - similar to the DeathAdder, but more natural; The angle of the DeathAdder put more weight on the right side of my palm and wrist which didn't affect my aiming, but did make long sessions uncomfortable; This is the most natural mouse that I've held

Thick cable which is stiff - this may seem nit picky, but I game on a hard gaming mouspad that requires very little force input to move the mouse; When the cable is bent in a smaller radius, I can feel it at the mouse.

The VACer!!!

Mouse is precise and comfortable to hold. Light to pick up and the only problem i found was that the lift off distance was very small ( you need very plane surface and i recommend using Steelseries qck mass or qck heavy).

One Minute Review: Logitech G403 Prodigy gaming mouse

These new mice pack in everything you want, leaving out what you don't need and are priced very competitively, especially for the wireless version. One could call the design minimalist, I prefer mature.
