One word SLOW!!!!! Irritating, anoying, agonizingly SLOW!!!!!!!!!!! I bought this based on various reviews I don't know what these people were on when the tested this laptop out. AND the memory is soldered in - you cannot upgrade. @ GB is not enough RAM for even basic use.
Although it has only 32GB of eMMC flash storage, it is expandable to (did they release the 1tb micro sd card) atleast 256gb of storage. This is plenty of room for a high school student as a school laptop. Its small, lightweight, and includes a 1 year office 365 license.
Excellent little netbook for studying on the go. Lightweight and easy to use. Very pleased with this. Although there is no disc drive I just bought a seperate external DVD drive for my Open University visual/ audio materials. Great bargain
The Lenovo IdeaPad 100s is an affordable 11-inch laptop, which is travel-friendly and offers more than nine hours of battery life. You're safe if you don't expect speedy performance or a touchscreen. THE GOOD: Portable and good looking. Good for those on a budget. THE BAD: No USB 3.0 ports.
The Lenovo 100S Chromebook is the quintessential Chromebook. It's cheap and a bit bland-looking, powered by a budget Intel processor and packing a meager, low-resolution screen. That's not so bad.
The inexpensive Lenovo 100S Chromebook has a comfortable keyboard; battery life that'll last a workday; and just enough performance to get rudimentary tasks done
Google's Chrome OS operating system is limited when compared to identically priced competitors that run Windows 10
T he Lenovo IdeaPad 100S is the cheapest laptop in its range, but at first glance, it doesn't look like a budget machine.
Lenovo's entry-level IdeaPad 100S Chromebook is simply too cheap for its own good.
Decent keyboard; Good battery life
Only 2GB of RAM; Slow processor; Weak design; Short warranty
If you're already a fan of Chromebooks, the eminently portable Ideapad 100S should be on your short list. (And if you're new to the concept, the price and keyboard may make you a fan.)
Ultra-low price; Thin and light; Very good keyboard for the price; Excellent battery life
Below-average performance; Small-ish screen needs more "pop; Keyboard needs a backlight
Sales of traditional PCs, that is, notebooks and tablets without any special gimmicks, have fallen at a steady pace for years now. Microsoft and its hardware making partners seem to be of two minds on fixing this problem.
